Getting to the circuit
COTA shuttle
Round-trip shuttles with a dedicated bus lane drop you at the Grand Plaza gates. They start 60 min before gates open. The last inbound shuttle leaves at 2 PM on Sunday and 6:30 PM on Fri/Sat (2026 info). Buy passes in advance, because standby passes aren't guaranteed.
CapMetro to the shuttle
Take routes 2, 5, 7, 10 or 837 to Waterloo Park. Park & Ride sites also connect to it.
Rideshare
COTA Blvd is restricted. Rideshare drop-off and pick-up use McAngus Lot, with a free tram to the box office near Grand Plaza.
Race-day timing
Shuttle journeys take longest on Sunday between 9:30 AM and 12:15 PM. Traffic in Austin can be very slow.
Grandstand or general admission?
Grandstand
- ✔ Use the entrance closest to your grandstand. The circuit has six entrances (per F1).
- ✔ Mobile tickets. The 3-day GA wristband is the exception.
General admission
- • GA tickets give access to grassy viewing areas across the property, marked in the COTA app.
- • GA also gets you into the GA areas for the concert stage shows.

- Wear sunscreen and comfortable shoes, because the site is big
- Buy shuttle passes early
- Book hotels early. Race weekends fill up fast.
